"Fast and Furious X" Movie Review
In one of the most emotional scenes in the movie, Dom welcomes Brian into his family with a home-cooked barbecue. The moment marks the first time that viewers have seen this type of Toretto family bonding and introduces us to the franchise's preferred beer, Corona.
Tej's garage is now named "Tej's Auto Service." He used the money he got from his role in "Fast Five" to open up a shop. He also uses it to splurge on a new Mustang.
The opening scene of the film features a flashback to the end of "Fast Five." This was cleverly cut so that Dom's crew, rather than Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), is shown as the bad guys.
Mr. Nobody reveals his God's Eye device in "Fast and Furious X." It's a computer hacking tool that can simultaneously monitor any device with a camera or microphone. It can even track a car in motion, which is useful when the team is on the run.
Jakob's blue Ford Mustang is a nod to F9. Director Justin Lin says he chose the color to signify "a real-world rivalry between Dodge Charger and the Ford Mustang."
Dante references Captain America when talking about Little B. This is a nod to Jason Momoa, who played the character in Marvel's Avengers films.
Letty tries to settle the score with Cipher for hurting her and her father in "Fast & Furious 6." Cipher has been trying to take out the Reyes patriarch ever since, but Hobbs actually killed Hernan in "Fast Five." To make up for it, Dom and his crew burned his vault.
